Why consider healthcare & biomedical

Employment in healthcare occupations is projected to continue to grow exponentially. Overall, the US is expected to add about 2.4 million new jobs in the healthcare industry between now and 2028, far more than any of the other occupational groups. In Southwest Florida (region 24), that translates to an expected growth of 18.9% between 2020 and 2028. The average industry growth rate is 3.4%. Even when COVID-19 brought the economy to a near standstill, the health care sector was one of the quickest to rebound – by October 2020, nearly two-thirds of those healthcare jobs that had been lost were recovered, compared to 54% of all jobs in the country.

Additionally:

  • The opportunity for Career Growth-the possibilities are endless!
  • It includes flexible schedules. Healthcare never stops so you can find a schedule that works for you.
  • You can take Pride in what you do-improve the lives and wellbeing of others.
  • You have an opportunity to help others in your community-give back and pay it forward.
  • You can work in a stimulating and fulfilling field as no two days are ever the same.
